The invention relates to nondestructive testing of materials and can be used to control the change in the thermophysical properties of controlled objects of metallic materials and semiconductors as a result of thermomechanical treatment or operational impact. To increase accuracy, reliability and informativeness of a method of thermoelectric nondestructive testing of thermophysical properties of current-conducting materials it proposed to replace heating of the controlled object with a hot electrode by heating it in a given region by pulsed laser radiation, and to use only a cold electrode located at a given distance from the laser radiation point to measure the thermal electromotive force, wherein the thermophysical properties of the controlled object are determined by comparing the thermal electromotive force obtained with the known thermal electromotive force value of the reference sample with known thermophysical properties.
