The invention is related to the field of medicine and chemical and pharmaceutical industry, namely to a medicinal preparation in the form of an injection solution for treating brain disorders and a method of producing this medicinal preparation. Provided are a formulation of a pharmaceutical composition in the form of an intravenous and intramuscular solution comprising 6-methyl-2-ethylpyridine-3-ol salt of (2S)-2-acetaminopentanedioic acid as an active agent and a method of producing said composition. The invention allows to produce for the first time a finished dosage form based on 6-methyl-2-ethylpyridine-3-ol salt of (2S)-2-acetaminopentanedioic acid.
