The invention relates to aqueous polymer dispersions containing at least one polymer, which can be obtained by reaction of at least one monomer M1 of general formula HC = CH-C (O) OR (I), where R is an unbranched alkyl chain containing from 18 up to 22 carbon atoms, and, if necessary, at least one monomer M2. In addition, the invention relates to a method for preparing such aqueous polymer dispersions and their use as pour point depressants for crude oil, petroleum and petroleum products.
