A method for preparing aqueous solutions of polyacrylamide by polymerizing an aqueous solution containing at least acrylamide to obtain an aqueous polyacrylamide gel, and by dissolving said aqueous polyacrylamide gel in water, the production steps being assigned to two different positions A and B, and the method includes a step of transporting an aqueous polyacrylamide gel held in a mobile polymerization plant from position A to position B. Furthermore, the invention relates to a modular mobile plant for the production of aqueous polyacrylamide solutions, the unit blocks being located in two different positions A and B.
