The present invention relates to classified burnt oil shale fly ash, the method of classifying oil shale fly ash according to particle size and its use. The diameter of the classified and if needed ground oil shale fly ash particles is preferably up to 8 microns for 97% of oil shale fly ash particles. To classify oil shale fly ash it is transported to classifier. Bigger particles are transported to grinding. After grinding the oil shale fly ash will be classified once more. The classified oil shale fly ash is used in polymer composite materials, wherein the composite comprises from 10 to 99% by weight of the polymer and 1 to 90% by weight of classified oil shale fly ash.
