The invented mechanism destined to detect the deviation tendency, deviation and wear of wire ropes (Figure 3) is an arrangement of mechanical and electrical components (Figure 3). It is integrated into all types of lifts. It enables damage detection on the surface of the wire rope (1). Its sensors (5,6,7,10,11) convey the information to the control system urging the elevator to stop operating to avoid an accident. Furthermore, the telephone network enables the transmission of the information about the wire rope condition to the technician who is responsible for the proper operation of the lift. The invented mechanism detects, records and instantly informs in case that deviation conditions have occurred. If for any reason the wire rope (1e) is deviated from the groove (8) of the pulley (2), the lift operation is interrupted.
