The invention belongs to the field of daily products, and provides a method for recording and reminding plant growth and a flowerpot, wherein the method comprises: recording a first period physical characteristic of a plant in a flowerpot; monitoring a physical characteristic of the plant in the flowerpot; and when a difference between the current physical characteristic of the plant and the first period physical characteristic of the plant in the flowerpot exceeds a specific threshold, reporting the difference to a specific terminal. Therefore, the flowerpot has a function of intelligently recording the plant growth, thus improving use experience of the flowerpot.
