The invention relates to the field of biology and may be applied for the determination of the sex of the parasite Trichinella spp. larval. The proposed method comprises: (a) providing a sample of Trichinella spp. nematode; (b) fixation of the resultant sample for one hour using Bouin's fixation solution followed by rinsing and storing in tubes in 70% alcohol at a temperature of 0 °C to + 4 °C; (c) prior to staining, incubation of the sample of Trichinella spp. at room temperature for 15 min; (d) staining the sample with 3-N- (2-piperidylacetamido) -benzantrone (AZPP); (e) visualization of the prepared sample by confocal laser scanning microscopy using laser radiation with a wavelength ? = 488 nm with a FITC filter (fluorescence ? = 500-550 nm) and a laser radiation with a wavelength ? = 561 nm with a TRITC filter (fluorescence ? = 570-620 nm); (i) measuring the length of the gut end in the sample; (f) determination of the sex of the Trichinella spp. nematode by the gut end length variation.
