In the case when the percentage of methemoglobin in relation to the total amount of Hb is more than 1%, the percentage of sulfohemoglobin in relation to the total amount of Hb is more than 0.4%, and the sum of inactive blood pigments is more than 20%, the presence of acute poisoning of chemical etiology is diagnosed.
