Due to the contamination of the by-products of the local steelworks, these must be reused. In this particular case, the present invention relates to the use of waste from said industry to produce a compacted slag-based brick. This product will have thermal characteristics that allow the same to retain heat and depending on the different resulting properties. The product also can be used in reheating furnaces as a refractory brick. This brick will consist of slag, a mixture of ceramics and a binder to keep it compacted. The brick object of the present invention will go through a grinding, mixing, compacting, sintering and characterization process (in general).
