The present invention relates to a method for monitoring microalgal growth (in cel) mL for four species of microalgae important in aquaculture (Chaetocerosgracilis, Isochrysisaffinis Galbana (T-Iso), Nannochloropsis Gaditana and Phaeodactylumtricornutum), through specific predictive models, fast and accurate based on the measurement of the optical density of microalgal cultures. The methodology for monitoring cell growth by spectrophotometry requires the previous culture of the inoculum of microalgae.
