The result concerns the way of assessing the stability of the rock mass during underground operation of the deposit, in order to take action to reduce and even eliminate undesirable deformation of the mine surrounding the mine excavations. The method shall be based on measurements of the level of convergence between the designated measuring points, located in the mining excavations, in the ceiling and/or the occipital and/or tract, located in the area of direct operational impact, and the baseline measurement position, the distance is measured by means of a remote sensing device,characterised by a high accuracy and resolution of the measurement, located at the base measuring position (7 and 7a) in a stable part of the tunnel (5),affixed favourably to a ceiling anchor, cooperating with at least one measuring point (10 and 10a),located in the zone of direct impact (6), in the form of an anchor end built into a ceiling and/or axis and/or a retractor fitted with a retro-reflecting element. In accordance with the method, each measurement data from the remote sensing device shall be transmitted by means of a teletechnical measuring network and a concentrator and by means of an Ethernet connection to the receiving station using a PC equipped with a computer program suitable for this purpose, real time analysis and visualisation of recorded and processed measurement data shall be carried out and the stability of the mass shall be assessed on the basis of these data.
