The invention relates to a rotary sealing system with magnetic nanofluid meant to be used in equipments operating at high peripheral speeds. According to the invention, the sealing system comprises a permanent magnet (1), polar pieces (2) with conjugated toothing, formed of grooves and teeth, a magnetic nanofluid (3) retained in an annular shape in the gap area between the polar pieces (2) and a toothed magnetic shaft (4) with grooves and teeth, a housing (5) and some bearings (6), where the polar pieces (2) are made of two half-rings, so as to form, when mounted on the shaft (4), two sealing zones, one formed by the grooves of the polar pieces (2) and the teeth of shaft (4) and the other formed by the grooves of the shaft (4) and the teeth of the polar pieces (2).
