The invention relates to a process for the synthesis of silver nano fibres coated with low-melting-point metal nano particles, meant to be used in carrying out conductive tracks on carriers, in solar cells or optoelectronic devices construction. According to the invention, the process comprises a first stage in which silver nano fibres with diameters of 100...500 nm and average lengths over 20 μm are carried out using the solvothermal technique, followed by a second stage in which the so synthesized silver nano fibres are directly coated with quasi-spherical indium or tin nano particles of 2...50 nm, at temperatures of 25...90°C, to result in silver nano fibres functionalized with indium or tin nano particles which permit subsequent sintering at low temperatures.
