The invention relates to a resilient intramedullary rod to be used in osteosynthesis of long-bone diaphyseal fractures. According to the invention, the rod consists of a central rod (b) made of stainless steel with a diameter of 4 mm, threaded at both ends and having a length adapted to the length of the bone medullary canal and a plurality of metal spheres (a) aligned along the central rod (b) until it is occupied up to the level of the threaded portions, the spheres (a) being fixed onto the rod (b) by screwing a metal cone (d) at one end and a metal cylinder ( c) at the other end.
