The invention relates to a process for preparing composites based on ethylene-propylene terpolymer rubber and halogenated butyl rubber meant to be used for manufacturing sealing gaskets. According to the invention, the process consists of the stages of mixing the elastomers: ethylene-propylene terpolymer rubber, halogenated butyl rubber, with homogenization, for 2 min, zinc oxide, stearic acid, polyethylene glycol and antioxidant are incorporated in the mixture, followed by silica precipitated together with plasticizer and batch-rubber adhesion promoter, after which the mixture is homogenized for 3 min, reticulation agents are added, on a roll, to result in semi-products as rubber sheets, which are processable as finished products by curing them in moulds and curing presses at temperatures of 150...170°C at a pressing force of 200...300 kN.
