The invention relates to a smart assistance system for periodic motor-vehicle inspection. According to the invention, the system is designed based on an architecture with two interconnected modules: a first module (MMVSTD) for video monitoring, local storage and remote transmission of data and a second module (MDSLIT) for detection of the steering system mechanical stress and localization of the zone of performing the technical inspection, where the first module (MMVSTD) consists of two high-resolution video cameras (CAM1, CAM2), an infrared lighting system (SIR) and a visible spectrum lighting system (SISV) meant for monitoring the tests to which the mechanical part of a vehicle steering system is subjected, a smart unit (UI) based on a signal processor, a system (NAS) for local data storage and a system (STD) for remote transmission thereof to a central server, and the second module (MDSLIT) uses a static converter (CS) providing various voltage values for the supply of the module components, sensors for detecting the stress to which the mechanical part of the motor vehicle steering system is subjected and a GPS module.
