The creation of the commissioning digital replica dataset comprises, firstly, the creation of commissioning data under consideration of previously detected, customer-specific configuration data from generic component model datasets (11) and defined component model datasets (11), and, subsequently, the creation of manufacturing data that specify the reference configuration by supplementing the commissioning data with production-specific data. The defined component model datasets (11) can be datasets that reproduce a planned configuration of individual components (11) in respect of all the characterising properties essential for the manufacture of the passenger-transportation installation (1).
