Method for automatically forming bundles of metal laminations, for the formation of armatures of electrical machines, or the like, by automatic precision dosing of a lamination bundle (p') consisting in picking up and separating a preset number of laminations, based on a preset height of the bundle (p') itself, from a lamination stack (p) higher than said bundle (p'), the method comprising the following steps: - Grabbing at one end of the lamination stack (p) the preset number of laminations (L) corresponding to the height of the lamination bundle (p'), - Separating said number of laminations (L) of the bundle (p') from said lamination stack (p) by axially moving the bundle (p') relatively away from the lamination stack (p) by a preset distance, - Carrying out an action of detaching one or more laminations (L'), if any, at the end of said lamination bundle (p') facing the lamination stack (p), the potential last lamination or laminations having erroneously remained adherent to a lamination of the lamination bundle (p') intended to be the last lamination of said bundle, said one or more potential last laminations being precariously clamped by a part of their thickness or being moderately glued to the lowest lamination in the lamination bundle (p') though being instead intended to be the first lamination of the lamination stack facing the separated lamination bundle (p'), - Collecting said lamination or laminations, if any, detached on the lamination stack end facing the bundle in a position axially aligned with the laminations of said stack (p).
