A monoclonal or recombinant antibody or a fragment thereof for a TSH receptor, antibody or fragment thereof that is capable of binding to a TSH receptor to stimulate the TSH receptor, monoclonal or recombinant antibody or fragment thereof comprising: a antibody heavy chain (HC) encoded by a polynucleotide sequence comprising CDR I, CDR II and CDR III as shown in Figure 30 paired with an antibody light chain (LC) encoded by a polynucleotide sequence comprising CDR I , CDR II and CDR III as shown in Figure 32 to provide an antibody binding site comprising both heavy and light chains; or an antibody heavy chain (HC) encoded by a polynucleotide sequence comprising CDR I, CDR II and CDR III as shown in Figure 34 together with an antibody light chain (LC) encoded by a polynucleotide sequence comprising CDR I, CDR II and CDR III as shown in Figure 36 to provide an antibody binding site comprising both heavy and light chains; or an antibody heavy chain (HC) encoded by a polynucleotide sequence comprising GDR I, GDR II and GDR III as shown in Figure 38 together with an antibody light chain (LC) encoded by a polynucleotide sequence comprising CDR I, CDR II and CDR III, as shown in Figure 40, to provide an antibody binding site comprising both heavy and light chains.
