A security access system comprising: a security panel (23); a memory operably coupled to the security panel and configured to store a list of user codes (22) and a list of telephone numbers, where each user code in the list of user codes corresponds to at least a telephone number from the list of telephone numbers: a central monitoring station (34) connected to the security panel; and one or more mobile phones (11, 38); and where: each of the mobile phone (s) has a phone number that is registered in the security panel with a user code; the security panel is in an armed state, which can be disarmed with a user code from a mobile phone having the telephone number correlated with the user code as registered in the security panel; Each of the mobile phone (s) that is registered with its phone number in correspondence with a user code in the security panel is provided with a geolocation application; and the security panel is configured to track the presence of each mobile phone within a predetermined range around a protected facility using geolocation-based tracking by: receiving a user code entered by a person at the security panel; identifying the user code in the user code list; access to the list of mobile phone numbers; identifying a telephone number in the list of telephone numbers that is correlated to the user code; scanning the predetermined range around the protected facility for a mobile phone that has the phone number; disarming in response to locating the mobile phone that has the phone number in the predetermined range around the protected facility; and sending an alert to the mobile phone (s) in response to not locating the mobile phone having the phone number in the predetermined range around the protected facility.
