This invention provides a device for increasing fuel economy which allowsmanual or automaticshut off of an automobile engine under a first set of circumstances andrestarting the engineunder a second set of circumstances as well as control of the gear ratioselected by anautomatic transmission and the rate of fuel delivery to the engine.
