SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATIC REPORT GENERATION AND RETAINING OF ANNOTATIONS IN REPORTING DOCUMENTS AFTER REGENERATION

The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implementedmethods for automatically generating reporting documents based on contents ofanassociated set of test data. One example method includes receiving a requesttogenerate a new report, the request identifying a report template, a set oftest data, and areport name associated with the request. A repository stores the test data andreporttemplates, each template associated with an initial set of bookmarks, eachbookmarkassociated with a particular location. A copy of the template is generated andstored asthe identified report name. Based on the test data, a set of visualizations tobe insertedinto the new report are identified. Bookmarks associated with each of thevisualizations are inserted into the new report. Each visualization is thengeneratedand inserted at the location of the corresponding bookmark. The updatedversion ofthe report is then stored.
