MULTI-CHANNEL SETUP MECHANISMS AND WAVEFORM DESIGNS FOR MILLIMETER WAVE (MMW) SYSTEMS

Mechanisms may be used for multi-channel (MC) setup and access and waveformdesigns for millimeter wave (mmW)systems. An access point (AP) that is part of a basic service set (BSS) mayprovide multi-channel (MC) access to one or more stations(STAs) in the BSS. The AP may monitor for beacon frames transmitted by otheraccess point/personal basic service set (PBSS) controlpoint (AP/PCP) associated with overlapping basic service sets (OBSSs). Themonitored beacon frames may include service period (SP)scheduling information for the OBSS. The AP may generate an allocations atleast one SPs and/or contention based access periods(CBAPs) channels to be used in a beacon interval in consideration of the SPscheduling information for the OBSS. The AP may transmita beacon frame STA(s) indicating the SP/CBAP allocations. Other mechanisms mayinclude simultaneous transmission of multiplesingle carrier (SC) waveforms with non-overlapping waveforms to multiple STAs.
