OBJECT MOTION MAPPING FROM SINGLE-PASS ELECTRO-OPTICAL SATELLITE IMAGING SENSORS

The present invention is a semi-automated process to extract object motion andattributes from utilizing a remote sensing methodology using Earth Observationdata from single pass satellite imagery. Many single pass satellite sensorscollectimagery that include a panchromatic and multispectral image with a slighttemporaloffset. The method of the present invention performs image processing, objectsegmentation, object measurement, image normalization and image matching andvelocity calculation to extract physical attributes of the object, objectlocation, andobject motion.
