EXPANSION SYSTEM AND EXTENSION METHOD FOR SGPIO SIGNAL OF SERVER HARD DISK

Provided are an expansion system and an extension method for an SGPIO signal of a server hard disk. The system comprises an expander board (1) and a first complex programmable logic device (2). An expander chip (3) is provided on the expander board (1). A second complex programmable logic device (4) is further provided on the expander board (1). The second complex programmable logic device (4) is connected to the first complex programmable logic device (2). The second complex programmable logic device (4) is used for analyzing an SGPIO signal transmitted by the expander chip (3) and recombining same to generate n groups of SGPIO signals. Each group of SGPIO signals comprises lightening information of four hard disks. Each group of SGPIO signals corresponds to one hard disk backboard. Therefore, the expansion of the SGPIO signals of the original expander chip (3) is realized, the lightening of LED lamps with various backboard requirements is adapted, and the product quality is improved.
