A novel shock absorption self-resetting energy-consuming inhaul cable supporting device, relating to the technical field of shock absorption equipment. The device consists of a resetting mechanism (A), resetting energy-consuming mechanisms (B), force-limiting energy-consuming mechanisms (C), high-strength steel cables (10), and bases (8). The resetting mechanism (A) is provided between the two bases (8), and the resetting energy-consuming mechanisms (B) are disposed on two sides of the resetting mechanism (A); the force-limiting energy-consuming mechanisms (C) are connected to and disposed at outer sides of the resetting energy-consuming mechanisms, and the high-strength steel cables (10) are connected to and disposed at the outer sides of the force-limiting energy-consuming mechanisms (C). The device further improves the self-resetting ability during supporting, widens a selection range for a pre-stressed reset rib material, effectively suppresses the increase of a supporting internal force under the action of an earthquake exceeding the fortification intensity, and further improves the energy-consuming ability, so that protection for main structural elements, such as beams and columns, is strengthened, the insufficiency that an existing reset rib material-fiber reinforced composite material cannot bend at a pulley position is overcome, the utilization ratio of the self-resetting mechanism is improved, and the economic costs are reduced.
