An embedded quantum dot photovoltaic charging method for a smart apparatus. The charging method comprises: adopting an embedded quantum dot photovoltaic battery in a rear casing of a smart apparatus, and disposing a charging control circuit on the smart apparatus, the charging control circuit being connected to the quantum dot photovoltaic battery, wherein a quantum dot light receiving surface is capable of absorbing a light spectrum at least comprising ultraviolet light, visible light, and near infra-red light and converting photons into electrons and holes, and electrical energy generated by the electrons and holes is directed to charge a storage battery of the smart apparatus. Charging in an outdoor environment can utilize sunlight, while charging in an indoor environment can utilize natural light or an infrared emitter. The invention adopts the embedded quantum dot photovoltaic battery to perform long-range wireless charging at any location, facilitating use, enhancing aesthetic qualities and providing a high charging power. In addition, the adopted quantum dot battery can be embedded within the smart apparatus, and thus does not affect the structure of the smart apparatus or user experience.
