Provided is a latent-heat storage material which is inhibited from supercooling while retaining cooling performance. The latent-heat storage material comprises: a quaternary ammonium ion and a first anion, which constitute a quaternary ammonium sa water; and calcium carbonate. The quaternary ammonium salt is a substance that forms a clathrate hydrate with water. The proportion of the quaternary ammonium salt to the water is such that at least a clathrate hydrate is formed. The content of the calcium carbonate with respect to the mass of an aqueous solution which is the latent-heat storage material excluding the calcium carbonate is higher than the solubility of the calcium carbonate in the aqueous solution, which is the latent-heat storage material excluding the calcium carbonate, at the melting initiation temperature of the aqueous solution.
