This user interface device (1) includes: a first platform (10) which is a master platform; and a second platform (20) which is a slave platform. A UI screen executed by the first platform (10) includes a proxy component (103) arranged at a display position of a UI screen executed by the second platform (20). The first platform (10) gives a focus on a UI component that a user is selecting, and transmits, to the second platform (20), an operation event generated by an operation of the user, while the focus is given on the proxy component (103). When the operation event is consumed in the second platform (20), the first platform (10) maintains the giving of the focus on the proxy component (103), and when the operation event is not consumed, the first platform (10) executes a process according to the operation event.
