A method for drawing a chemical structural formula based on recognition of gestures in a dynamic gesture library comprises the following steps: drawing a path data set; performing recognition on the basis of a dynamic gesture library; if there exists a recognition result, determining whether a starting point of a gesture is at a node of a chemical structural formula; if so, drawing, from the node, a chemical structural formula corresponding to the recognition resu if not, determining whether there exists an appropriate node near a central point of the data set that can serve as a starting point; if said node exists, starting to draw the chemical structural formula from the node; and if said node does not exist, taking the central point of the data set as the central point of the chemical structural formula to start drawing the same. The invention employs gestures to draw chemical structural formulas, such that multiple chemical structural formulas can be flexibly and continuously drawn without needing to frequently change drawing tools. Moreover, establishment of a dynamic gesture library enables a user to customize gestures according to personal usage habits and to use the same to draw chemical structural formulas, enhancing recognition performance.
