The method comprises: acquiring property claim case filing information, the property claim case filing information comprising damage information of a property (S101); estimating property damage costs and repair time of the property according to the damage information (S102); calculating time costs according to the repair time (S103); calculating total damage costs incurred by the property owner according to the property damage costs and the time costs (S104); comparing the total damage costs with remaining insured value of the property (S105); if the total damage costs are less than or equal to the remaining insured value of the property, determining the total damage costs as a claim amount (S106). The method can increase claim efficiency and reduce property damages incurred by property owners.
