The objective of the present invention is to provide a heat pipe structure and a swaging tool for a heat pipe structure with which a heat pipe can be secured to a base block reliably and stably while preventing the occurrence of defects such as buckling and cracking in the heat pipe. This heat pipe structure is equipped with a base block, which has a back-surface portion capable of being thermally connected to a heat-generating body, and a heat pipe, which is secured to a front-surface portion of the base block and has a heat-receiving tube portion provided along the in-plane direction of the base block. The base block has a longitudinal direction and a width direction, has a concave portion in which the heat-receiving tube portion is accommodated, and has a pair of side wall portions protruding along the outer peripheral surface of the heat-receiving tube portion from both sides of the concave portion in the width direction, and a heat pipe container has a protrusion-shaped part that is secured to the concave portion and the pair of side wall portions by swaging and that protrudes between the ends of the pair of side walls in the direction opposite the swaging direction.
