The present invention relates to a method for predicting metabolic phenotypes by using single nucleotide polymorphisms. Even if a metabolic syndrome has no symptoms or only one type of risk factor, hypertension or diabetes, hyperlipidemia and obesity, which are chronic diseases, are highly likely to develop through complex interactions, and thus management of complex metabolism-related factors is necessary. However, management has not been properly performed. Furthermore, according to recent reports that each of the metabolism-related factors differ in basic metabolic levels on the basis of individual genetic traits, single nucleotide polymorphisms of individual genes have been attempted to be analyzed so as to be used in the management of individual metabolic syndromes. To this end, the present invention relates to a method for predicting metabolic phenotypes by using single base polymorphisms. A method for predicting metabolic phenotypes of the present invention enables accurate diagnosis of individual metabolic levels, thereby being expected to be widely usable in the medical and cosmetic fields.
