Disclosed is a microwave/millimeter wave compact phased-array antenna system, comprising a radiation plate (1), a transition plate (2) and a phase-shifting plate (3), wherein the radiation plate (1) is provided with a signal transmitting apparatus (4); the phase-shifting plate (3) is provided with multiple antenna coupling units (5) for adjusting the phase of a signal transmitted by the signal transmitting apparatus (4); the transition plate (2) is provided with a phase-shifting waveguide interface (6) connected to the antenna coupling units (5) of the phase-shifting plate (3) and a radiation waveguide interface (7) connected to the signal transmitting apparatus (4); and the radiation waveguide interface (7) is connected to the phase-shifting waveguide interface (6) in a matched manner. According to the present invention, by means of changing the phase of the electromagnetic wave coupled to each array element antenna, the beam direction of the array antenna is changed, and the beam pointing angle can thus be transformed while achieving a higher antenna gain so as to realize fast scanning.
