A method and a device to generate an amplitude-based wireless signal based on OFDM to be received by a low-power non-coherent receiver. The method comprises generating, by a transmitter, a wireless signal to be transmitted to, at least, one low-power non-coherent receiver through a radio interface by coding binary data following a given bit sequence using an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) block structure compliant with a given communication standard, obtaining at an output of the block structure an amplitude-based modulation having peak and flat OFDM symbols.
