The present invention relates to a novel yeast mutant strain for producing a ceramide precursor and a generation method therefor and, more specifically, to a yeast mutant strain for high production of sphingosine or dihydrosphingosine-ceramide, which is generated from the human-friendly yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae by re-designing a metabolism route for ceramide production, a method for generation of the strain, and a method using the strain for producing sphingosine or dihydrosphingosine-ceramide. According to the present invention, the ceramide precursor sphingosine or a derivative thereof can be mass-produced in the traditional yeast (S. cerevisiae). The yeast is friendly to humans, compared with the preexisting yeast (P. ciferrii) used for producing phytosphingosine, and has the advantage of effectively expressing genes from external sources including humans and being easily strain modified. From the yeast, a ceramide that has the same stereochemical structure as that existing in the human skin and is superior in terms of skin compatibility and function can be obtained. Accordingly, the sphingosine and derivatives thereof, which are produced from traditional yeast by using the technique of the present invention, are friendly to humans and highly safe because no chemical syntheses are applied therefor. The sphingosine and derivatives thereof can be expansively applied to the production of various ceramides existing in the biological skin, thereby finding wide applications in products for anti-aging, skin moisturization, and damaged skin regeneration.
