The invention discloses a 9,10-dihydroacridine derivative represented by formula (I). The compound has an appropriate HOMO energy level that matches an anode and a light-emitting layer when the compound is used as a material of a hole transport layer, reducing the potential barrier to be overcome when the hole is transported to the light-emitting layer, thereby lowering the operating voltage of the device. Further, the 9,10-dihydroacridine derivative has a high triplet energy level and LUMO energy level, which prevent the back transfer of energy of the light emitting layer, and block electrons in the light emitting layer, thereby increasing the probability of recombination of electrons and holes in the light-emitting layer, as well as improving the light-emitting efficiency of the device. The compound represented by formula (I) has a high glass transition temperature, excellent film-forming properties and thermal stability. The invention discloses an organic electroluminescent device. At least one functional layer thereof contains the 9,10-dihydroacridine derivative. By using the compound as a hole transport material, a light emitting device with high luminous efficiency and low voltage can be obtained.
