The present invention relates to a novel peptide and a pharmaceutical composition for treatment of eye diseases comprising the novel peptide as an active ingredient. When the novel peptide of the present invention is applied to an eye, the amount of tear secretion is increased and a damaged cornea is healed such that the novel peptide may be effectively used as a therapeutic agent for eye diseases.
