AQUA-AMMONIA ABSORPTION REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

An aqua/ammonia absorption refrigeration process wherein: liquid ammonia (10) is evaporated to produce ammonia vapors a refrigeration effect; ammonia vapors are absorbed in a lean aqueous solution of ammonia, obtaining a rich solution; gaseous ammonia (17) is desorbed at high pressure from the rich solution to obtain gaseous ammonia and regenerate a lean solution (18); the gaseous ammonia (17) is condensed and expanded to low pressure for further use in the evaporator (1), wherein the absorption step comprises: cooling and condensing a biphasic mixture (36) of gaseous ammonia and lean solution in at least one evaporative condenser (30).
