The account management method comprises: when receiving an account generation instruction, a mobile terminal generating a private key and a public key; the mobile terminal storing the private key, and sending the public key to a first server; the first server generating identity information on the basis of the public key; and the first server sending the identity information to the mobile terminal, such that the mobile terminal stores the identity information, and the first server broadcasting a pair formed by the public key and the identity information in a blockchain network, such that a node in the blockchain network stores the pair in the blockchain network. By means of the above-mentioned means, a public key is stored in a blockchain in the form of a key pair, thereby enhancing the degree of security of account information; moreover, the problem in the prior art of it not being possible to carry out authentication due to the failure of an authentication center when the authentication center is required for account authentication is solved.
