The present invention relates to an aquaculture installation comprising a floating structure containing at least one cage for farming fish. The aim of the invention is to propose an aquaculture installation that reduces or eliminates all the problems relating to the use of nets or meshes with which the fish cages are equipped and to reduce or eliminate the effects that are unfavourable to the environment. This aim is achieved by an aquaculture installation (1) comprising at least one cage (6) for farming fish and a floating structure, the installation having a prow (4) and a stern (5) and lateral faces. The cage(s) pass(es) through the installation from the prow (4) to the stern (5) and is/are open to the open sea at the prow and at the stern. According to the invention, at least the lateral faces (8) of the installation are made up of a solid and rigid wall and constitute faces of a cage (6).
