POLYETHYLENE FIBER AND PRODUCT EMPLOYING SAME

Provided are: a novel polyethylene fiber that is capable of stably exhibiting high cut resistance, in which aggregation of hard particles is suppressed, and that exhibits high productivity; and a product employing said fiber. A polyethylene fiber according to the present invention contains hard particles in which: the aspect ratio is less than 3; the Hausner's surface index represented by the following formula is equal to or greater than 1.06; and the specific surface area is equal to or less than 5.0 m²/g. Hausner's surface index = P²/4πA, where, in the formula, P is the circumference (μm) of a particle projection image, and A is the area (μm²) of a particle projection image.
