The invention relates to an automated ammunition magazine (1) and a turret comprising such a magazine. The magazine comprises a first belt conveyor (2) which is referred to as an internal conveyor for rounds of ammunition (200) parallel to one other and a second belt conveyor (3) which is referred to as an external conveyor and is arranged in an endless rotary loop which surrounds the first belt conveyor (2). The rounds of ammunition (200) are parallel to each other. Each belt conveyor (2, 3) is capable of moving the rounds of ammunition (200) so as to consecutively position the longitudinal axis (301, 302) of each ammunition (200) in the same vertical plane. The magazine (1) is characterised in that the rounds of ammunition (200) located in the above-mentioned vertical plane (P), referred to as the loading plane, have converging longitudinal axes.
