The preparation process of the sunflower disc extract comprises: soaking the powdered sunflower disc in water for a certain period of time, then heating it to 45-55°C; adding cellulase to react for 1-4h, then adding proteolytic enzymes (alkaline protease and neutral protease) to react for 1-2h; finally adding flavor protease to react for 1-2h, then filtering and concentrating while it is hot, and drying into powder or preparing it into granules. The extraction rate of small molecule peptides and polysaccharides in the sunflower disc extract is greatly increased. It has been verified by animal experiments and clinic trial in crowds that the sunflower disc extract may be used for treating constipation, and the results show that the extract according to the present invention can significantly promote the defecation of a patient without toxic and side effect.
