The device includes a gate, a runner, a buffer tank, flow-shaped grooves, a horizontal working table and LRC-800 resistance measuring instruments. The buffer tank is connected to the runner and the flow-shaped grooves. The bottom of each of the flow-shaped grooves is provided with a groove body which has a length similar to that of the flow-shaped groove while having a width and a depth which are smaller than those of the flow-shaped groove. The groove body can be used for installing a resistance wire to test changes of a flow velocity of the high-temperature metal melt with time. Both ends of the resistance wire are connected to the LRC-800 resistance measuring instruments respectively.
