The present application relates to a smart charging pile system and an operation method therefor. In the present application, before a robot needs carry out charging by means of a charging pile, a charging circuit of the charging pile and a battery circuit of the robot are first detected; and after confirmed that the charging circuit and the battery circuit are in a normal operation state, electrical connection is then carried out to provide a highly safe charging system.
