The present invention relates to an automatic ignition agent composition, a preparation method therefor and an application thereof. The automatic ignition agent composition comprises the following components in mass percentage content: NTO(3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one) 45%-65%; sodium nitrate (NaNO₃ 25%-45%; guanidine nitrate 4.5%-15.5%; and graphite 0.1%-10%. The automatic ignition agent provided by the present invention is prepared as follows: by means of employing a specific preparation process, wet-mixing and granulating guanidine nitrate, then mixing same with NTO, sodium nitrate and graphite to prepare an automatic ignition agent having excellent performance. The automatic ignition agent composition has good thermal stability for long-term storage, and is suitable for a long service life in an automobile, which is to say that the automatic ignition agent may be instantly ignited, and reliable ignition is achieved; meanwhile, ignition performance is significantly improved, and the needs for airbags to protect drivers and passengers are met.
