The purpose of the present invention is to provide an inverse matrix calculation device that can handle matrices having relatively large size even if calculation resources are limited. An inverse matrix calculation device 1 is provided with a processor 102 that subjects an augmented matrix (A|I) of an input matrix A with N rows and N columns to an elementary row operation by Gaussian elimination, and a memory 13 for storing a matrix with N rows and N columns. The processor 102, every time normalization calculation of an element in an (i + 1)-th row and an (i + 1)-th column (i = 0, 1,..., N-1) of the augmented matrix is performed, causes the memory 13 to store a matrix with N rows and N columns which takes an element in the first row and an (i + 2)-th column of the augmented matrix after the calculation as an element in the first row and the first column, repeats, on the basis of the matrix with N rows and N columns stored in the memory 13, the normalization calculation with respect to an element in an (i + 2)-th row and an (i + 2)-th column of the augmented matrix after the calculation, and outputs, when the calculation ends from the first row to an N-th row, the matrix with N rows and N columns stored in the memory 13 as an inverse matrix A-1.
