Method for predicting the wear area and safety factor of a mine hoisting steel cable, comprising: (1) calculating the dynamic tension of each position of the steel cable during a lifting process according to a lifting coefficient parameter; (2) calculating a micro-motion parameter between steel wires in the steel cable during the lifting process; (3) combining the micro-motion parameter and the steel wire wear coefficient obtained by experiments to calculate wear areas of steel wires; (4) summing up the wear areas of all steel wires to obtain the wear area of the steel cable; and (5) calculating the safety factor of the steel cable according to the reduction of the cross-sectional area of the steel cable. By considering the wear of the steel cable during use, the wear area and safety factor of the mine hoisting steel cable during the listing process can be predicted, and the actual bearing area and safety factor of the steel cable that change with time can be obtained.
